Welcome to the Showtime Events team Stephanie!

Welcome to the Showtime Events team Stephanie!

Please welcome Stephanie Morehouse to the Showtime Events Michigan team!

Stephanie is a 23 yr old student at Central Michigan University.  She is majoring in the Department of Recreation, Parks, & Leisure Services Administration, with Event Management and Marketing as her minors.

Stephanie grew up in a small farming community, south of Lansing.  This community has a few major events each year that she worked at as a teenager and in high school.  The times spent working these events sparked her interest in being an event planner herself!

After graduating high school in 2007, Stephanie went to Lansing Community College to obtain an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts and then moved onto Central.  While there, Stephanie has had a multitude of opportunities to plan, coordinate, and execute many different types of events.  While at Central, Stephanie joined the Meeting Professionals International association, both the student group and Michigan Chapter.  She is currently an active member in both and serves on an annual fundraising committee for the Michigan Chapter.

Stephanie’s favorite part of being an event planner is the entire process - from in initial meetings to the event - of seeing a nearly bare event space transformed into something unique, whimsical, or even magical.

Stephanie hopes to gain additional experience by working with Showtime Events and have an opportunity to see what it means not only to be an event planner but also a supplier. Also by working with Showtime Events she will be able to improve her planning, coordinating, and executing skill set.

When she’s not planning spectacular events with Showtime Events, Stephanie enjoys reading mystery novels, watching comedy movies, and spending quality time with family and friends.  She loves traveling to new places, explore cities, try exotic foods, and meet new people.  Stephanie also loves to bake sweets, which is perfect since she has the sweet tooth to go with it

Welcome again Stephanie to the Showtime Events team!

Showtime Events Michigan and Chrysler

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

This Saturday, July 24th, 2010, Showtime Events in Michigan got an opportunity to work with the American auto maker, Chrysler. The suburban Detroit based manufacturer rolled out the red carpet this weekend for their Walter P. Chrysler Legacy Gala.

The Gala, which was the first inaugural, was held at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, Mi. was clearly the toast of the town this evening. The event was set up to honor the history of the Chrysler Corporation, raise funds for the museum, and recognize automotive icons. Racing legend, and honoree, Richard Petty made an appearance, along with a refurbished model of his old number 43 car. Late show talk host and funnyman Jay Leno was also honored, as was former Chrysler CEO Lee Iacocca. Former Chrysler designer Virgil Exner was also honored posthumously by the near 600 in attendance.

The entrance of the building was lined with classic Chrysler cars. Floating above each were Airstar Lunix 200 lighting balloons provided by Showtime Events. As darkness fell over the event, the cars were illuminated by the bright lights of the Airstar balloons, creating an outdoor exhibit for the guests to enjoy.

The Gala was a huge success, as $1 million was raised to support the museum.  Showtime Events was honored to be part of the wonderful event.

Cavendish Beach Festival!

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

The First Annual Cavendish Beach Festival was a 3 day Country Music festival held at Cavendish, Prince Edwards Island Canada on July 10 - 12, 2009.  The organizers had a great vision and wanted to make the 3 day event an unforgettable experience.  With this objective in mind The Cavendish Beach Festival hired Showtime Events to design and supply the decor for the entrance way to the event. The entrance way area was was over 3,000 feet from start to finish.

The Main Stage

The Main Stage

As the event was held on the an Island on the Atlantic Ocean, Showtime Events had a couple obstacles to keep in mind while coming up with our design including electricity and wind. There was only electricity at the very end and beginning of the event entrance way.  To start Jason Wood and his team from the Michigan Showtime office put a Airstar Crystal 160 with a Cavendish Beach festival logo at the the first entrance at the road.  This created great branding of the event for the guests arriving as well as provided lighting as they were crossing the road.

blog1To create an amazing visual along the long entrance way area Showtime Events installed 20′ white feather banners that flowed in the light wind. As the sun went down they had an orange glow as the sunlight shined through each banner. They not only looked great as guests walked into the event, but also gave a great background to the main stage.  As you looked at the entertainment on the stage you could see them in the background.

On the last 800 feet of the entrance way had electricity.  Showtime Events hung different illuminated shapes, stars, and designs 30 feet high in the middle of the area.  Showtime Events also had 2 other  Logo Airstar Crystals around the grounds providing lighting for the beach volleyball court and restrooms.

It was wonderful working with organizers and creating an unforgettable experience for the guests.  For more information about the event please check out http://www.cavendishbeachmusic.com/
