This week we are pleased to introduce you to Jason Wood. Jason is the Production Manager for the Michigan Showtime Events office.
Jason came to Showtime Events 2 years ago after working at the Rum Runners location in Lansing, MI for 4 years as their Event and Promotions Manager. During his time with Rum Runners he coordinated, planned, and organized parties and events at the facility and throughout in the area. In addition while working at Rum Runners, Jason attended Central Michigan and received a degree in Marketing.
Jason remains very visible in the community, local organizations like ISES (International Special Events Society), and many other groups. He has recently been part of producing events for Farm Bureau, Nissan, and Michigan State University.
In his spare time, Jason loves to engage in all types of water sports including wake boarding and fishing. He is also a big movie fan and enjoys watching the World Series of Poker. Jason also has another love in his life, which is his Chihuahua/Min Pin named Bella.

Over 30 children and their parents (over 50 people total) enjoyed incredible balloon art that filled the room, a colorful and stuffed pinata outside on the deck, kids music all night long, interactive live entertainers, and an amazing and elaborate dinner and desert buffet for both kids and adults. We loved the kids buffet that was set at a lower height so everyone of all ages could easily reach the yummy food!
On Thursday, May 14th 2009 Showtime Events pulled out all the stops to throw an unforgettable party for a premier group of event industry professionals who were invited to Alabama’s Gulf Coast. This 3-day trip was organized by Alabama’s Gulf Coast Convention and Visitor’s Bureau to showcase all the area has to offer. The events culminated at the newly designed water park called 
Guests were greeted by a large hand carved sand castle showcasing the logo of The Wharf and a stunning decor and lighting package provided by Showtime Events. Local businesses such as Distinctive Kitchens, Emerald Coast Coffee, Guy Harvey, Live Bait, Rafters, Rum Runners, Tropic Ice & Villaggio’s were all able provide guests with their signature food and beverage specialties.
The Event Industry Professionals that traveled from Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisana all commented on what a wonderful time they had and how excited they were to bring future groups to The Wharf. Showtime Events created a memorable evening for everyone who attended the event!
